Mr Aniket Palav, Business Head,  K12 Techno Services Private Limited

1. What inspired you to start an LMS company, and what was the gap in the market you aimed to fill?

We are predominantly a curriculum company with LMS integration. Currently in the market there are either curriculum or publishing companies or standalone LMS or ERP companies. Very few companies have been able to combine both and offer an integrated solution to schools. That’s where our advantage lies.

2. How do you position your LMS against established competitors in the industry?

As compared to other LMS available in the market which focus majorly on non-academic aspects like fee collection, admissions, attendance etc. we focus equally on academic and non-academic aspects. Using our LMS school can manage not only.

3. How do you ensure that your platform remains user friendly for educators, administrators, and students alike?

We have a strong customer feedback mechanism which allows us to capture pain points quickly and regularly. This allows us to keep iterating on the product and keep improving.

4. How do you manage content delivery on your LMS, and do you collaborate with content creators or educational institutions?

We have our own content which is seamlessly integrated with our LMS. Our idea is to be a one stop solution for both their tech and academic needs.

5. What are the regions that you currently cater to for your business?

We are present in all major states across India. We are catering to over 1000 schools and over 2 Lac students across there states.

6. How do you address data security and privacy concerns, especially with increasing scrutiny on digital platforms?

Once a school is given access to the platform even the internal team cannot access the school data unless the school explicitly given access which only happens in case of trouble shooting. We have strict internal polices among our employees to manage client privacy and data security.

7. How does your LMS contribute to making education more accessible and inclusive in India?

With increase in internet penetration, access to data even in tier 2 and 3 cities has become very easy and affordable. Our LMS platform just acts as a medium for schools to access quality content in an easy and secure way. A special emphasis is made to ensure that all modules are designed in way that they are easy to use.

8. What are your long-term goals for the company, and where do you see the LMS industry heading in the next 5 to 10 years?

Our long term goals are to ensure we are able to provide quality content backed with tech to over 1 million students across India. This will require a lot of training and hand holding with schools. In the next 5 – 10 years’ content will keep getting interactive especially with AI and schools will need good platforms to access this content. That is where companies like us will have to keep iterating not only on tech but also on content.
